Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

A recent gathering in Madrid united faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, hosted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito news euro 24 Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how mutual knowledge can strengthen coexistence.

Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
